CYFERnet is a network, and a network is only as strong and productive as the people who create it. We encourage you to not only use CYFERnet resources in your daily work, but to contribute your expertise and talents.

Get Involved with CYFERnet!

Consider how you might get involved with CYFERnet.

• Explore our online resources. Find something you can use? Didn't find what you needed? Let us know. Your feedback is essential to helping us enhance the collection. Use the feedback form, or send an email to cyf@umn.edu. We like to know you visited.
• Participate in one of our online communities. This spring, three new groups are forming: around Families New to Poverty, Creating Digital Video, and Evaluation tools. Members share their interests and expertise, create products and resources that can be used by others, and enhance the implementation and delivery of their local CYF programs.
• Submit your articles, activities, research briefs, and lessons learned. Our Editorial Boards appreciate receiving resources that demonstrate the CYFAR experience and will be useful to and used by theCYFAR community programs. And publishing your work through CYFERnet is one of the best ways to spread the word about the work and impact of CYFAR. After a successful review, they will be posted to the CYFERnet web site.
• Attend or present at the annual national Children, Youth and Families at Risk Conference (CYFAR). Held every year in May, this is our great Get Together, a time when those people you came to know via online community and email, Connect session and blog, demonstrate their real physical presence. The workshops are hands on and practical, the keynotes are inspiring, the technology training invaluable -- but the best part of the Conference is the chance to network informally between sessions and in the evenings. Join us!
• Want to promote CYFERNet within your organization or community? Feel free to download and make copies of our postcard for distribution.
• Like your communciations infrequent or batched? Receive announcements of new CYFERnet resource additions and online learning opportunities. This is an announcement only list that will send you an email once a month. It's easy to join the list. You can subscribe through the web. You can also subscribe by sending an email message to: listserv@lists.umn.edu. In the body of your message write: subscribe cyfupdate John Doe (replace John Doe with your first and last name. Do not use any signature or subject line).
• CYFERnet also sponsors public EMAIL LISTS or Listservs you can join. Join a list for announcements about CYFAR relevant resources and opportunities (CYFAR), or to participate in an email discussion group on a specific children, youth, and families issue with interested colleagues.
